What’s the best area of Concord to stay in?

We recommend staying in downtown Concord, near Main St., if possible. You’ll be in the middle of town and walking distance to the New Hampshire State House, restaurants, and cafes.

What’s the best luxury hotel in Concord?

The Hotel Concord is a luxury boutique hotel that we love. It’s modern, elegant, and within walking distance to the best spots in town!

What’s the best budget hotel in Concord?

Tru by Hilton is an excellent option for a budget stay in Concord. Note that it lies a bit outside of town so you’ll need to drive to downtown.

Where to Stay in Concord, NH: Best Neighborhoods

We recommend downtown Concord, close to Main Street, roughly south of Route 9 (Centre Street) and north of Thorndike St. It’s nice to be within walking distance of the New Hampshire State House, as it tends to be the center of things.

Of course, if you have a car — and almost everyone does up here — you can get from the outskirts into the city center very easily. It’s nothing like Boston traffic.

Best Luxury Hotel AND Boutique Hotel in Concord, NH: The Hotel Concord

The Hotel Concord is the go-to for upscale business travelers. It’s perfectly located in downtown Concord on South Main Street with easy access to charming, walkable cafes while a nearby highway makes a quick commute to all other areas of Concord.

The rooms at Hotel Concord are impeccably maintained. Decor is modern, elegant, and stylish. Guests report that the oversized bathrooms seem as though no one has ever set foot in them.

It has all the amenities a business traveler would need to get work done, including lightning-fast free wi-fi and well-appointed meeting spaces, and a work desk. Before your day of meetings or strolling down Concord’s Main Street, you can get your daily cardio in the on-site gym or just enjoy complimentary pastries from the lobby. Freshly brewed Starbucks coffee is also available using the coffeemaker provided in your room.

More boutique luxury hotels in Concord: Discerning travelers also enjoy the Centennial Hotel, which houses modern rooms within a historic, Victorian building. It’s located directly across from several government buildings, making this a good option for those in town on official business.

Best Mid-Range Hotel in Concord, NH: Holiday Inn Concord

The Holiday Inn Concord Downtown is a clean and safe hotel with standard, predictable accommodations. The hotel is located close to unique shops and dining just across Loudon Road. Other, farther-flung attractions are also a short drive, as Holiday Inn has easy highway access.

The rooms have a sleek, corporate feel to them, without any surprises, which is welcome when you’re on the road! What the Holiday Inn Concord lacks in personality, it makes up for in the conveniences we love to see like an affordable breakfast.

This hotel does have meeting spaces available for functions, as well as free parking, wifi, and an indoor swimming pool. When you’re winding down for the day, you can take in a few laps in pool or take a soak in the hot tub..

More mid-range hotels in Concord: Another solid choice to consider is the Courtyard by Marriott Concord. It’s a bit farther away from the downtown action of Concord, but it’s a safe bet at a reasonable price. Another Marriott option is the Fairfield Inn, which is pretty comparable to the Courtyard. For a longer stay, look at the Residence Inn Concord which is one of the few pet-friendly hotels and one of the extended stay hotels.

Best Budget Hotel in Concord, NH: Tru by Hilton Concord, NH

Tru by Hilton is a wonderful option if you are looking to stay in Concord while on a tight budget. The downtown area of Concord is only a short drive away, but the location feels less than ideal, as it’s surrounded by busy highways and wetlands that run along the Merrimack River, but a location away from the city center is typically a trade-off for a cheap hotel, even in a small city.

The rooms are sleek and modern with pops of color. You’ll find each room is equipped with a mini-fridge and an office type rolling chair if you have a little work to catch up on.

The lobby of Tru is a cluster of flexible seating areas and workstation pods for anyone seeking a place to relax or network outside of their room. You will also find a 24-hour market, as well as piping hot complimentary coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. Kids will likely enjoy the lobby’s foosball table as well.

More budget hotels in Concord: Another solid budget pick is the Hampton Inn by Hilton Concord/Bow. This hotel is located at the southern end of Concord, so ground transportation is a must. The Best Western Concord Inn also has similar prices, as do the Holiday Inn Concord Downtown and Comfort Inn Concord.

Best Hotel for Families in Concord, NH: Hampton Inn by Hilton Concord/Bow

For families stopping over in Concord, the Hampton Inn by Hilton Concord/Bow is the best choice, despite being a bit south of town. You’ll find the easy highway access a lifesaver if you can’t answer “Are we there yet?” one more time.

Rooms are safe and clean for little ones, and the free wifi will keep everyone happy. You’ll find great prices for double queen rooms — a must for traveling with kids!

Hampton Inn serves a free breakfast buffet in the morning, which is an excellent value for feeding the troops. Kids and parents alike will also love the indoor pool after a long day in the car.

More family hotels in Concord: A comparable room can be found at the Holiday Inn Concord. While it also has a pool, you won’t get the benefit of a complimentary breakfast.

Best Place to Stay in Concord Overall

While it’s difficult to pick just one hotel in Concord, we happen to love the Hotel Concord. It’s the best that Concord has to offer in terms of location and amenities if it’s within your budget, and it’s just an overall great hotel.

If not, we also love The Centennial, a historic hotel with a great location on Pleasant Street, for a more upscale stay, with the Hampton Inn Concord providing for a restful night’s sleep on a budget.
